Born in Bradford, England, Malisha was raised by her Jamaican mother and Dominican father. She is one of five children; two brothers and two sisters. She grew up in a Christian home and regularly attended church from a young age. Her earliest interest in music was prompted by singing hymns and listening to the church choir. A self taught vocalist Malisha’s earliest memory of her singing was about five years.
