Brit and Alex are a American-British girl group, consisting of identical twin sisters Brit and Alex Smith. Brit and Alex (born 1985 in Connecticut) were originally known as child actors, appearing at the age of three in the soap opera One Life to Live. They later moved to London, and became known for their appearance as teenagers in advertisements for John Frieda's Sheer Blonde hair products. Having been regular singers since childhood, they have since moved into music full-time, leaving school aged 18 to pursue their musical career.
