The Pauki (Cyrillic "The Пауки", The Spiders) is a Russian punk rock band from Saint Petersburg formed in 1991.
The search of their style has begun with psychobilly and rockabilly, even with attempt to use a contrabass, but it didn't result well. So they tried to add some punk, grange and folk into their music and new style the called Prohabilly has appeared.
This name is in honor of one of the last participants of the band who unfortunately is not with us now (R.I.P.) but the style is conserved.
