Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Nekaybaaw spent much time in her room listening to various genres of music and singing along to countless classics. It was then she would realize her passion and desire to be engulfed into the womb of sound. Her journey into sound would consist of learning to play the piano at age 6, a member of an R&B group during the 90s, studio recording/background vocals, songwriting etc.
