Robb began playing guitar at the age of fifteen, encountering fellow Hoobastank member Daniel Estrin later in his teenage years at a high school Battle of the Bands competition in Agoura Hills. He has co-written all of the songs on two of the band's three major commercial releases, the self-titled album Hoobastank, The Reason, and Every Man For Himself, including the band's singles.
