Mark Lotterman kick started his career in 2001, accompanied on his first tour by Simon Vinkenoog; a famous Dutch beat poet. Mark and his band played, Vinkenoog recited his poems. Their collaboration ended in 2005 and Mark moved to Amsterdam, starting the writing process for his first album "Pain & Entertainment". The album was released late 2007. On the album Mark sings a drum 'n bass duet with Johnny Dowd (USA), the American master of alternative Country-Blues. Mark met Johnny on a party in a small Dutch town called Zoetermeer.
